When writing a message on the blockchain, it stays there forever. It can never be modified or removed. Eternally. A blockchain is basically a huge database of transactions, “floating” in the internet, without being owned or controlled by anyone. Therefore, it’s most common use is to record exchanges of digital coins.

We thought it would be romantic to have people write eternity messages on the blockchain, for their loved ones. The same way people used to place love locks on bridges after getting rid of the key, or carve into trees. This gift will last forever.
EternityCard is a service which enables users to engrave messages on the Ethereum blockchain. To keep it private, we encrypt the messages, so only the owner of the password can view it or choose to share it.
